The TEA Club has just completed its second beach clean-up of the year! 12 of us headed to the beach yesterday and brought back bags and bags of trash. The beach is looking better all the time! More clean-ups will be coming soon…

This Wednesday, TEA Club will take our second trip to the beach to conduct a clean-up! Members are also working on community outreach plans in order to help make the beach a cleaner, healthier place.

The second major test of the year will be 17 November 2011. This will cover everything that we have done since the last test, specifically: cells, proteins, enzymes, and some DNA/RNA. Good luck studying!
M1B will be presenting their fossil fuel posters/slideshows on Tuesday, 15 November. The students will be answering the question: How do we make something limited last – can a dirty today lead to a clean tomorrow?
M3A Students will be presenting their Public Service Announcements (PSAs) about communicable and non-communicable diseases Thursday, 10 November 2011. Their PSAs will then be hung around school to raise awareness about these often preventable and deadly illnesses!

The TISA Environmental Action Club (TEAC) is kicking off this year with initiatives both on and off campus. Our first on-campus initiative: a drive to limit wasted energy and water at TISA. Students are looking at ways to encourage conservation of these important resources, and they are raising awareness of the importance of individuals’ actions…
