DP 1 Biology is part of a two year course offered at both the Standard and Higher Level. Attached to this page you will find detailed information about the course, the syllabus, and classroom/homework expectations. However, the course itself is centered around four broad concepts of biology:
- Structure and function
- Universality versus diversity
- Equilibrium within Systems
- Evolution *
The course covers these broad concepts in depth at both the standard (SL) and higher levels (HL), however the HL course covers some topics in greater depth than SL and covers some different topics.
